There are many positions within a sorority. Many come with high responsibilities, glamour, handling and guarding money, and sleep depravation.. The job of a social chairman does all of the above and more. Sometimes it seems that there are barely any boundaries around a social chairman. I have been my sorority's social chairman for two years now and although it can be stressful, I have loved every minute of it. This position may come off as being a "fun" or "silly" job, but it is actually very exhausting and draining. Here is a look inside of what being a social chairman feels like.
1. You probably have paint, glitter or colored marker somewhere on your body at all times.
2. You have a Pinterest board for every occasion, themed party or formal.
3. Sometimes you get into making decorations for hours and forget to eat or even act like a normal human.
4. When you pick a theme for your formal, you go all out.
