Top 25 Strange Brew Drinks

Strange Brew is a little coffee shop located off of Highway 12. It's absolutely my favorite coffee shop in Starkville, so here is a list of the best things to try if you ever find yourself going by!

1. The Albino Squirrel

White Chocolate + Hazelnut, easily the most popular drink that Strange Brew has to offer!

2. Yeti-style ANYTHING.

Maroon and White frappe (White Chocolate and raspberry) is my recommendation if you aren't sure what to try. "Yeti" would be any frozen drink + blended chocolate covered coffee beans. It's definitely the best way to spice up any Caramel Frap!

3. Caramel Apple Cider

A normal apple cider is also a good way to go. It's not your typical apple cider, that's for sure!

4. Frozen Hot Chocolate

All the joys of a Hot Chocolate, but perfect for anytime of the year!

5. Key Lime Pie Frappe

It's like your grandmother's favorite summer pastry, in a little frozen drink.

6. Butterbeer

Perfect for someone who isn't a huge fan of coffee.

7. Albino Squirrel Hot Chocolate

The same as an albino squirrel + hot chocolate

8. Chai Latte

Perfect example of spice and sweet. Try it iced for these Mississippi "Winter" days.

9. Blueberry Cobbler

This drip coffee is normally only made on Fridays, but it is totally worth a try one day. One of the most popular flavored coffees that they have to offer.

10. London Fog

Some lovely tea in a latte? Why not?

11. King Cake

Praline + cake batter + cinnamon. It's like a little piece of king cake for anytime of the year. Try this hot, iced or frozen. They are too good to compare!

12. Sea Turtle Hot Chocolate

Caramel + milk chocolate +sea salt... in a hot chocolate. Yes, they did.

13. Cereal Milk Steamer

Got a little one who doesn't want coffee? Try this. It's a combination of steamed ingrediants to produce a drink that tastes just like cereal! Isn't the milk the best part of the cereal anyway?

14. Cinnamon Toast Crunch Latte

White Chocolate + English toffee + Cinnamon. That's all that needs to be said.

15. Dirty Hot Chocolate

Hot chocolate with a shot of espresso. Keeps you up, while being festive.

16. Maroon Velvet Latte

White Chocolate + Red Velvet Cake.

17. Birthday Cake Frap

Overload of sweetness + SPRINKLES. They'll also give you a complimentary one on your birthday.

18. Smoothies.

Strawberry Banana, Mango, Peach pear apricot, try them all. Literally. Try them all.

19. Strawberry Limeade

Do it. Just do it.

20. Vanilla Latte

I know that this is simple, but this homemade vanilla is just seriously worth the try in a latte by itself.

21. 100 years war Latte

English toffee + Vanilla. A great choice for those who aren't a huge fan of overly sweet

22. Peppermint Mocha Latte

Christmas is coming and so is the peppermint craving. Satisfy it with this drink!

23. Gingerbread Latte

One more Christmas suggestion. Try this hot while you sit beside your Christmas tree and you'll basically be at the North Pole.

24. Smores Latte

Milk Chocolate + Brown Sugar Cinnamon + Toasted marshmallow. The perfect way to get your bonfire cravings under wraps during the burn ban.

25. The Landslide

Milk Chocolate + White Chocolate +English toffee. It's great.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
