Animal Crossing Pocket Camp App

I got Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp the day it came out, and although I was skeptical at first, I play it every day. Maybe it's the dreams of completing my campsite, the nostalgia to the endless hours I would play this game as a child (I was and am addicted), or maybe the RIDICULOUS things the animals say/do. When I was little, I always wanted to be able to take a picture of what they would say, but sadly, my Nintendo DS was not yet so sophisticated. These are the 25 best things I have seen thus far and had to screenshot.

1. Imagine a campsite, all the trees, all the pieces of dirt, screaming. Beau is right--that WOULD be terrifying.

2. This penguin is my favorite. Maybe it's the fact that he always looks disappointed in me because of the shape of his eyes or that he calls the sunset "perfecto time."

3. Poor Bugs.

4. I just see this blue jay saying the last sentence really fast, him looking confused, and it cracks me up.

5. I gave him oranges...we were barbecuing oranges...

6. Too funny and real.

7. 11:59 p.m.--roasting marshmallows. 12:00 a.m.--sharing all of our deepest fears.

8. Wow, Punchy, making me think here.

10. I know the creators were trying to show happiness...but he just looks super high.

11. His entire world just crumbled.

12. "What hobbies can we give these animals that involve food, bugs or fish?"

"Bug-watching."

"...brilliant."

Also, this is an obscene amount of journals. If this bird-thing is like twenty, it would have to go through three bug books per year...that's a lot, especially considering there are only 7 bugs in their world...

13. Tires. He was sitting on tires.

14. Sometimes I forget this game was intended for children. Seeing, "Yay, science!" made me remember.

15. Maggie the Pig is all of us.

16. Beau has discovered my secret.

17. It was 4:00, and yes, Punchy, it is ok to eat your 3:00 snack when it's not 3:00. Reject the status quo.

18. I don't remember what the bird-thing said, but I love how socially awkward these animals are.

19. First of all: Why do they have three glasses? Second: Why did my character call the second batch when clearly Bunnie didn't get any of the first? How rude of me.

20. What I imagine Paul Bunyan would drive:

21. Five. There are exactly five fruit trees in this orchard.

22. Self-love is always important, Bunnie. Also, how unoriginal is her name? Others get Maggie and Carrie, but she gets a misspelling of what animal she is?

23. Steel. It was steel. Something probably every character has given me. Goldie needs to get out more.

24. Sure, I'll put, "Butch from the campsite said I am reliable" on my LinkedIn. I mean, my job in this game is taking care of a bunch of talking animals--maybe it'll help me get a job where I'm not paid in rewards.

25. A quote I am now living by. Thank you, Sandy the bird-thing.

While the new Animal Crossing doesn't have some of the original characters like Mr. Risotto (although he drove me nuts), Brewster (who would tell you all of his secrets if you drank his coffee) or Blathers (who I, by the way, completed the fossil collection for, thank you very much), this game still has lots of its original charm and characters.

*Also, yes, these are all my characters. I did, in fact, give myself a blue pixie cut Tuesday. Thank you for noticing.

**My ID in the game is 2316 9111 537 if you would like to add me. Hopefully, in the future, they will have more human character interaction.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
