Finals week.... the most dreaded week of the semester. Well at least it is for this college student.

This year Lander University's finals week was split into two weeks, we start December 7th and go on until December 13th, giving us plenty of time to procrastinate and think about things other than the exam grade that can make or break us. Admit it finals are rough, especially when it's the only thing that stands in your way of family and winter break.

So let me express your thoughts out loud.

1) "I am really going to fail..."

2) "I'm going to be sick.."

3) "If I get hit by a car walking to this exam will he pass me?.. I mean it's a car..."

4) "How many shots of espresso does it take in order to stay awake for a week and still function?..."

5) "What grade do I need to make on this exam to get an A?"

6) "Ok, what about a B?"

7) "LOL, C's get degrees!"

8) "Nooooooooo!"

9) "I'm not even sure what day it is..."

10) "4x3+20-7+3-9x0... that's how much sleep I am getting tonight."

11) "I AM going to die.. or just cry... but probably die."

12) "I'll be fine when I get to watch movies all day in my pjs instead of studying."

13) "Did we even learn this?"

14) "Nope I'm sure we didn't."

15) "If I skip the exam will I still pass?"

16) "If someone dies before the exam do we all exempt because of the traumatic event we have to witness?"

17) "Who am I?!"

18) "It isn't too late to drop out... I could always be a stripper."

19) "One more cup of coffee won't hurt."

20) "Is this French?! I don't remember going to French class!"

21) "Have I been taking French all semester and just thought it was a media class?!"

22) "I'm just going to rest my eyes."

23) "It only took me 30 minutes to finish this exam... Well I know I can just grade it for him because I failed."

24) "Ok, that wasn't so bad... but I'd rather stick my hand in a blender next time."

25) "I hope mom makes the adult eggnog this year.."

But don't worry, you'll do amazing! This is what you've been preparing for all semester and sucking up to the teacher doesn't hurt, but don't push it... they can smell fear. Make sure all your pens work, your pencils are sharp, your notes are organized and you have your adviser on speed dial. Oh, and tissues... lots of tissues.

So here's to everyone taking their finals.. I hope your coffee is always hot and caffeinated, your stress level stays right under the "Brittany Spears shaves her head" level, your time be managed, and may the curve be ever in your favor!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
