Dates can be nerve wracking, yes. We can feel like we're unprepared, even though we probably are. We may even feel like we're trying too hard or not enough, but dates don't have to be so overthought; unless you're the type of person who prefers well thought out, over the top dates to low key ones (that's completely fine, too). Here are 25 date ideas to help you out:

1. A garden tour

Go to a botanical garden, or maybe even have a picnic in a garden!

2. Game night

No money is involved, unless you're betting or ordering food. It's free and fun and you don't have to try too hard with your outfit.

3. The park

4. Pottery painting

5. Coffee date

Find a mom and pop coffee shop. Those are usually quaint.

6. Ikea

7. The beach

It's up to you whether you want to go at night or during the day.

8. Brunch

First Watch, Ihop, Denny's. Pancakes are always a great food at any time of day.

9. Ice cream shop

10. A local concert

11. Scavenger Hunt

Make each other lists of things to find.

12. Cooking Class

13. Dance Class

14. Trivia Night

Some local restaurants will have weekly trivia nights with prizes!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
