Sisterhood is complicated, but we wouldn't trade it for the world.

When you have a sister, it's almost like you're from a completely different world. You understand things nobody else would understand, and you click with each other as if you were one...

Most of the time.

Other times, it's arguing about what belongs to who, who gets to shower first and who ate the last pack of fruit snacks. It sure as heck isn't easy, but it's not like you had a choice.

Sometimes we just have to deal with the fact sisters can be one of the most annoying things on the planet, and the person you trust most at the same time.

As the oldest of two, I can confirm that while we can both be a bit of a mess, we know life wouldn't be the same without each other.

If you felt a connection to the previous statement, you'll relate to this list of things every girl with a sister understands:

1. "Do you have my strapless bra?"

You really didn't need to ask. You know she has it.

2. "... can I borrow yours?"

It's the least she could do for you. When you can't find yours and you're in a hurry, you can always rely on her.

3. Looking for your earrings way too often.

It's not your fault you're so stylish!

4. ...and your shoes.

It's probably just a coincidence you two have the same size feet.

5. ... and your leather jacket.

And it just so happens to go perfectly with her black dress.

6. Having at least one mutual friend.

Sometimes you competed for that friend's attention.

7. Hearing, "Oh, you're 'so-and-so's ' sister!" at school every year.

It gets old after hearing it for 12 years.

8. If you're somewhat close in age, you're mistaken for twins.

No, we're not twins. I'm 16 months older than her (for the record).

9. "I'm getting lunch, want anything?"

It's only polite!

10. She'll be angry for a while if you don't get her food.

And yeah, she won't forgive you for a very long time if you forget.

11. Going through childhood toys and finding two of everything.

(You couldn't have one if she couldn't).

12. Feeling jealous when she looks better in your clothes than you do.

You'd be OK with her borrowing your stuff if it didn't fit her correctly... but dang, it just works on her.

13. Hiding your most prized possessions so she can't 'borrow' them.

You know she'll never give them back.

14. "I'M NOT TOUCHING YOU!!!" on long road trips.

She is. And she hit you. Hard.

15. Taking a trip to her room when you're bored.

When your rooms are across the house from each other, you sometimes forget the other is home.

16. Her telling you to get out of her room when you get there.

Sometimes you'll catch her in a bad mood and she just wants to binge Netflix and nap.

17. Feeling the sweet relief of freedom when you're away from home for a couple hours.

Then you'll be subtly missing her when you're gone for too long.

18. Double dates.

Period.

19. "I can't wear my Letterman because you're wearing yours, and I don't want us to match!"

You may be sisters, but you can't look too related! God forbid everyone know you have the same last name!

20. Waiting twenty minutes for her to change five times.

It's always a fashion show.

21. Feeling a hole in your heart when one of you moves away for college.

"I just called to ask how your day was... Yes, I know I just spoke to you ten minutes ago."

22. Feeling an even bigger hole when you're both gone for college.

"Hey, how was class? Yeah, I didn't go either."

23. Not wanting to talk ever again.

There are those moments when you swear you'd be fine with never speaking to her for the rest of your life.

24. Knowing your life wouldn't be the same without her.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
