Sometimes we get so jealous of each other's social skills. Like damn. They can talk to people?? and people like them?? Look at all of those people who like them... wow. What am I doing?

Shy people notice everything, but don't often get noticed themselves.

And yes, I'm an outgoing person. But... I am shy at first. I know, I know... it's hard to believe. Just kidding... I do the most stupid and random things once I get comfortable with someone.

Until then though, this is what the life of a shy person is like.

1. When the class is reading out loud and you count the people in front of you so you can find your paragraph and rehearse.

2. When you're choking, but have to hold it in because two coughs have already drawn too much attention.

3. Mom: Do you want pizza for lunch?

Me: Sure!

Mom: OK call the pizza place and I'll get it

Me: Actually, I'm not hungry

4. When you spend a few minutes thinking about what you can add to the conversation, but by the time you have finally found the right thing, the subject has already changed.

5. Not eating your lunch at school because people might see you, you know, EATING?

6. When the teacher is taking attendance and you have to mentally prepare yourself just to say "here."

7. Everyone thinks you either hate them or you're scheming against them.

8. When you see an attention-seeker from high school post about being shy and you're literally confused because she wasn't shy enough for her and her whole clique to bully you in front of everyone.

9. When you have to lower your gaze because you're too shy to make eye contact with strangers.

10. When you let the lady at the salon burn your scalp because you're too shy to tell her the water is too hot.

11. When you hold your nose when you sneeze so that you don't make any sound.

12. Mom: You’re 18. You can call to make a doctor's appointment.

Me: I'd literally rather die

13. When you have to stand up in front of a group of people to introduce yourself and you feel like they're picking apart every piece of you.

14. When you have to tell your Mom your order because you're having a mental breakdown due to the fact that you're too scared to talk to the waitress RIGHT NEXT TO YOU.

15. Asking teachers or literally anyone for help was a struggle all on its own.

16. Walking into class a minute late or getting up to use the restroom were scary too because... all eyes are on YOU.

17. Others: "I get really nervous when I have to speak in front of my classmates. I start to stutter too."

Me: "I lie to my professor telling her I am in New York due to unfortunate circumstances and won't be on time...."

18. *Finishes a Test* *Waits until someone else finishes the test too, so you can hand it in*

19. When you scream at your steering wheel and the car in front of you, but refuse to honk your horn at the person because you don't want to be rude.

20. Checking out at stores or restaurants because, "what if my card doesn't work," or "what if what I'm buying is super weird and the checkout lady judges me each time I come back here..."

21. When ur doing a group project and someone tells you that you're gonna be the one to present and you wanna say no but you're too shy.

22. "I don't know, you ask."

23. When you're at your birthday party and everyone is singing to you and you have not a clue what to do... Do I smile? Nah, that's weird. Do I look at them all? Or at my cake...?

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
