With another Father's Day in the books, we're all reminded of how great dads truly are and much we really depend on them. Even if we are fully functioning and independent adults, we still need our dads. I'd like to think I know everything there is to know about life and this little phase I'm in that we often refer to as "adulthood," but as it turns out, I don't know anything about it and that's where dad comes in to fill in the gaps. Even at the ripe age of 22, I still need my dad to answer some of life's most unknown questions. Regardless of how much I think I know, here are 22 times I've still needed my dad at 22:
1. "What does this light mean in my car?"
2. "How do I put air in my tires?"
3. "He dad, umm, my car is making that weird noise again. What should I do?"
4. "Will you help me make a budget?"
5. "How do I unclog a sink?"
6. "Dad, there's a wasp holding me hostage in my apartment. Help."
7. "How do I clean underneath the oven eye?"
8. "Hey dad, how many plugs can I put in this outlet?"
9. "Umm, my laptop charger is making a funny sound, is it going to blow up?"
10. "Dad, what does this black screen on my laptop mean?"
11. "What all does my renter's insurance cover?"
12. "So the dog ate my blinds. Does that mean I won't get my deposit back?"
13. "Hey dad, I know I've already asked you this but what's my SSN, again?"
14. "There's like a million different types of light bulbs, does it matter which one I get?"
15. "My wifi isn't working. Why?"
16. "My gas light has been on for 3 days. Do you think I can make it to Walmart?"
17. "What's an IRA?"
18. "It's 83 degrees in my apartment. How do I fix that?"
19. "Hey dad, how does one go about fixing a cracked windshield?"
20. "How do I get my smoke alarm to stop beeping?"
21. "So I watched a DVD last night. How do I get my TV to go back to like the normal channels?"
22. "Dad, why is everything so expensive??"
Thanks for all your help, dad!
