It’s that time of the year when college sophomores and juniors are stressing about finding a job for the summer. While we know that we can easily find a job at the mall or at a local restaurant, we’re aiming to find a job that at least somewhat relates to our major or future career aspirations.
Either way, that long search for summer internships has everybody thinking the same things.
1. "How do I even start this process?"
2. "I guess I'll just Google 'advertising internships in Dallas.'"
Or whatever industry/location that you're looking for.
3. "Do I actually want to be in Dallas for the whole summer? Maybe I want to go home."
4. "I think that I'll just look for both."
5. "Why am I just looking in Dallas and Houston? Maybe I should be adventurous and go somewhere cool."
6. "Who am I kidding? I would never survive in a big city by myself."
7. "Dallas has a lot of options, so this is a good start."
8. "Wait, that deadline already passed."
9. "So did that one."
10. "Now I'm never going to find a job."
You take a two-week break from job hunting.
11. "I don't want to work at the mall."
12. "Focusing again. Maybe if I just keep scrolling through search results."
13. "This looks promising."
14. "I hope that I'm qualified for this job!"
15. "Does my resume actually look good?"
16. "OK, I think that this looks good."
17. "It's good enough."
18. "Alright, it's time to start filling out the application."
19. "Upload cover letter here? I've never written a cover letter in my life."
20. "OK, I've finally uploaded my resume and cover letter and answered all of the questions."
21. "This should be good enough, right?"
