Ah, gingerbread houses. They are often seen as key Christmas items, but they can also be such a pain. There are so many cute design options that even the Property Brothers from HGTV would be jealous of, but when you try to make them a reality, you hear echoes of "where did I go wrong?" in the back of your mind as the house crumbles, the frosting goes everywhere, and none of your efforts to make it look better are successful.
Sprinkles to the rescue!
Sure, you could always skip the process if it never turns out the way you expect, but there's something about looking back at the photos a few months later and laughing/cringing at some great memories.
1. Here we go again...
2. Maybe I should get a pre-made gingerbread house this year so there's less stress?
3. Nah, I totally got this!
4. I don't totally got this
5. Can Bob the Builder fix my crumbling sugar house?
6. Okay, the walls and roof are finally assembled

8. ...and it fell apart again. Where's the super glue?
9. I wonder how long the pre-packaged candy has been sitting in this box?
10. So for the front of the house, I'm thinking an elaborate pathway made of Sweet Tarts with a gumdrop border
11. Why would they only include two blue gumdrops??
12. Whatever, I can work with this
13. I wonder what potential buyers on "House Hunters" would think of this property?
14. "I'm not sure I like the exterior color." "It's literally made of gingerbread, Karen."
15. Gravity has no chill when I'm trying to create an icing effect
16. This looks NOTHING like how I pictured it in my head
17. All is not well in Gingerbread Ville
18. I'm not sure how to make this any better
19. Eh, I guess I'll just put more candy in random places, throw some sprinkles at it, and hope for the best
20. So much for posing with this for the Christmas card!
21. I'll just take a video of it with a sad song and put in on Snapchat. Maybe it will get a few laughs?
22. Oh well; there's always next year
