22 Thoughts Everyone Has At The Airport, Alone
Sydney Della Flora

Flying alone is never anyone's first choice and can be terrifying the first time. These are usually some thoughts that go through your head when you're flying alone.

1. I'm definitely going to miss my flight.

2. Why are there so many people here?!

3. Someone tell me why I am here 2 hours before I can even board my plane.

4. Yes I know I look nothing like my 16-year-old ID picture sir.

5. Why didn't I do Pre-check again? Oh yeah because I'm broke.

6. Hurry, remove everything as quick as possible because apparently, this is a race.

7. I am seriously so independent.

8. *Immediately calls mom crying because I'm lost*

9. Alright, let's find my gate, where is the monitor?

10. Oh no my plane is on the other side of the airport I'm not gonna make it in time...

11. Oh, look at this fun flat escalator thing on the ground!!!

12. *Almost falls stepping onto moving walkway*

13. Alright here is my gate I probably barely made it in time.

14. *Checks time* oh would you look at that, I still have 45 minutes..

15. Why aren't there any more seats to sit at?!

16. OK, I guess there are seats but I don't want to sit by anyone else...

17. Do I have time to go to the bathroom??? Oh, yeah, I have a half hour still.

18. Woohoo boarding time!! Too bad I'm the last group of people to board.

19. Oh no my suitcase is too big to be a carry on...I'm not gonna be able to go.

20. *Says a prayer that the person who bought the seat next to me won't show up.*

21. Alright, at least I have the window seat I can look out of the whole flight.

22. *Gets off flight* I guess that wasn't TOO bad!"

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
