You may have seen lifelike illustrations of Anastasia or Price Eric circulating your social media networks. These illustrations are so surreal and completely mesmerizing, leaving you wanting to see more. And guess what— there is more. There's tons more.

The works actually come from a larger body of work called "Real Life" Disney Characters and each illustration is better than the next. The insanely talented artist who created the work is Jirka Vinse Jonatan Väätäinen, a Finnish artist who graduated with a Bachelor of the Arts in Graphic Design from The Arts University College at Bournemouth in 2012. Since graduating, he has come up with numerous beautiful creations ranging from digital illustrations similar to his Disney collection— to magazine covers, logos, and some short films.

His work has not only been featured on social media sites from all over the world, but also on BuzzFeed, Yahoo, CBS News, Elements Magazine, etc. Although literally every single thing the man comes up with is brilliant, his Disney illustrations really seem to have caught the public's eye, and rightfully so. The way he combines digital compositing, photo manipulation, and digital painting brings the art to life in such a unique and captivating way.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from.
