Even though you may be dying to leave, there are some things you realize that are very special about the state you are lucky enough to call your home.
1. You will not find bagels of the same quality anywhere else.
2. Or pizza.
3. Horribly inaccurate "Joisey" accents are extremely entertaining to hear.
4. Why are other people so nice and don't use "bad words" at least four times in one sentence?
5. Everyone else is so slow.
6. How did non-Jerseyans even get their license?
7. New York IS the best city in the world.
8. Your exit defines you.
9. People genuinely believe your father is in the mob.
10. Just because we live in New Jersey, apparently, we know the entire cast of Jersey Shore.
11. Jughandles are a much more efficient way of making left turns.
12. There is no convenience store like Wawa.
13. What do you mean you go to a "lake"? That's not a beach?
14. Other people don't celebrate "Mischief Night" the night before Halloween by putting toilet paper all over other people's homes.
15. We do have the best produce, we are called the "Garden State" for a reason!
16. Not EVERYONE is some-part Italian.
17. Diners are not everywhere and two-in-the-morning-drunk-you is really regretting making the move.
18. You don't appreciate gas attendants until you have to get out of the car in 8-degree weather to just be confused on how the whole process works.
19. There's no such thing as "North, Central, and South" splits in any other state.
20. New Jersey is the only state that debates whole-heartedly about a breakfast meat (by the way, it is SO pork roll).
21. You realize how much pride and love you have for this state, no matter how many people say you are from the "Armpit of America."
