I was never one for New Year's resolutions. There has never been a hear where I really felt like I changed, or wanted to be different. The new year was always just any other day to me. 2017 changed all of that. 2017 has been more transformative than any other year. I feel far away from the person I used to be, and even farther away from the person I should be. I'm hoping 2018 will close the divide, and hopefully these resolutions will help.

1. Get out more.

Go for walk. Ride bikes. Go running. Just get out.

2. Travel.

Discover new places. Make memories.

3. Read more instead of watching TV.

Like mom always says, "TV burns brain cells, books teach you lessons".

4. Really try at something you "don't like".

Try yoga. Try drawing. Just try, even if it's just so you can say you did it once.

5. Take time for yourself.

Get your nails done. Get a massage. Do something for you.

6. Stop pretending you hate everything and everyone.

You know you really don't hate everything, you're just scared. Stop being scared.

7. Learn to trust people again.

Not everyone will hurt you, I promise.

8. Get off your phone and back to reality.

Your phone probably burns more brain cells than the TV. You're missing out, man.

9. Forgive.

Don't forget. But please, move on!

10. Stop worrying about people no longer worry about you.

They didn't care then, and they probably don't care now.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
