2016 Spring Fashion

y\pring has sprung and so has the question "What should I wear today?" Spring weather can be cold or warm, or rainy, or basically anything under the sun. After paying attention to some of the newest winter trends, I decided to do the same with spring trends:

1. T-shirt Dresses

T-shirt dresses are very in style right now. Whether they're longer or shorter, loose or tight, a t-shirt dress can go from casual to nice. Throwing on a cute t-shirt dress and sandals or sneakers is the perfect easy look for walking around campus.

2. Cuffed Jeans

Cuffed jeans are fun because it's a more 'Spring' way of wearing jeans. Having some skin showing gives us hope for the warmer weather.

3. Bralettes

A bralette can take a simple tank top and make it unique, or it can add a little color to what may be a boring outfit.

4. Rompers

Rompers are so great because they make such a cute outfit with limited effort. A romper can be paired with sneakers, flip flops, flats, heels, you name it. I love rompers because they're so cute and so versatile.

5. Halter Tops

Before coming to college, I never really liked halter tops. Now, I see them everywhere and there are so many different ways to wear them. I can't wait to buy my first one.

6. High Waisted Jeans/Shorts

I used to shy away from high-waisted jeans and shorts because I didn't know how to wear them, but now that I own a pair I want more. I love high waisted pants and a crop top, because it can easily be flattering on anyone. Plus, high waisted jeans/shorts make it easier to tuck in a shirt, and can make a simple outfit pop.

7. Baseball hats

Again, baseball hats were not something I would have ever considered wearing before I came to college. I noticed a lot of people wearing collegiate baseball hats with a cute ponytail to class. It is such a casual look but it's so cute.

8.Colored Jeans

Colored jeans are such a good way to add a big pop of color. Personally, I have blue, purple, pink, white, and green. They're such a fun spring look.

9.Tote Bags

I have been starting to notice more and more people carrying tote bags, and the more I see it, the more I start to love them. Not only are they super cute, but also convenient and easy.

10. High Waisted Skirts

I own so many of these. They're an easy outfit, and can be casual or fancy, and they're also flattering. I've worn them with converse, nice sandals, and heels. Buying solid colored ones makes picking out an outfit super easy, but they also come in all kinds of other prints too.

If you need some spring fashion inspiration, Pinterest is always the way to go. Start with this list, and make current spring fashion match your own style.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
