June 26th of this year marked 20 years since "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" was first published! With over 450 million books sold in print worldwide, billions made at the box office, and its own theme park, Harry Potter has stayed as iconic as ever. The Harry Potter books have been a huge part of my childhood and "the boy who lived" will forever have a place in my heart.

1. "You're a wizard, Harry"

I still get chills every time I hear this line.

2. When Harry gets sorted into Gryffindor

“Gryffindor, where dwell the brave at heart!”

3. Shopping in Diagon Alley

I've always wanted to go on a school-supply shopping spree with unlimited funds in an enchanted British alley.

4. When Harry discovers the Mirror of Erised

And when you find out Erised is "Desire" spelled backward.

5. When Harry and Ron flew the Weasley's car to Hogwarts

For only being 12-years-old, Ron was a pretty good driver.

6. Fred and George's Fireworks

Remember when Umbridge was totally awful and our favorite twins, Fred and George, were fed up with it, so they set off tons of fireworks all over and escaped spectacularly via broomstick? YEAH I DO TOO.

7. When Dobby was freed

"...Dobby is free!" *sniff*

8. Hermione's entrance to the Yule Ball

You slay, Hermione.

9. "Not my daughter, you bitch!"

I didn't think I could love Molly more, but then this happened.

10. The tale of the Three Brothers

A story worthy of the Brothers Grimm.

11. The Shrieking Shack

This is the first time Harry meets Sirius and realizes he still has a family. Oh, take me back to the good ol' days before J.K. Rowling killed our happiness.

12. Harry's first Quidditch match

And when Dumbledore put enchanted writing, "I open at the close", on the snitch that could only be read when Harry touched it to his mouth.

13. When Umbridge is carried away by the centaurs

Good riddance.

14. Platform 9 and 3/4

I'm still waiting for my letter.

15. When Harry summons his Patronus for the first time

It's at this moment that Harry believes he's the mighty wizard everyone makes him out to be. Total badass.

16. When Hermione punched Malfoy

Bloody brilliant.

17. Dobby's death

I will never get over this death.

18. Neville's speech

When he pulls the sword out of the Sorting Hat, proving himself to be a true Gryffindor, I may or may not have cried...

19. Voldemort vs. Harry

Possibly the greatest duel in the entire series.

20. Seeing Hogwarts for the first time

“Whether you come back by page or by the big screen, Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home.” -J.K Rowling

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
