When it comes to navigating through adulthood, our "Friends" Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Joey, and Phoebe seem to be figuring things out for us. The famous 90s squad tackles love, careers, independence, and everything in between. For starting college, one of the biggest transitions in a person’s lifetime, life can get a little hectic. Luckily, our favorite Manhattanites are here to sum things up:

1. Those painfully awkward orientation ice-breakers that nobody likes.

You know, those super-fun semi circles where you have to gather up the courage to sufficiently introduce yourself to total strangers with your name, hometown, favorite color; practically everything except your social security number.

2. When you start your first week of classes, AKA Syllabus Week...

“Pshhh college is so chill. I don’t understand what everyone stresses about. All we did was read over these long packet things”

said every freshman at some point ever.

3. ... And then you realize that the work gets progressively harder

*gets 3 papers, a presentation, and an outline all due in one week* "Oh...this is why"

4. And then there's your roommate. Who can either be your absolute best friend...

This is great.

5. Or...this

'nough said.

6. And meanwhile, you're going to meet people who will be your lifelong friends.

*no pun intended

7. And you're going to meet people who won't be.

But that's OK because the beauty of college is that you don't have to see anybody that you don't want to see.

8. You'll finally get to meet the people in your class' Facebook page instead of wondering who they are/what they look like

Turns out they were just a normal person. False alarm.

10. Then you find yourself in your first experience with midterms/finals week

*Hint* the umbrellas are for your tears.

11. When you take your last final and your parents are waiting for you so you can go home for winter break.

FREEDOM IS YOURS (for a month)

12. Then the new semester starts and you're excited for all of your new classes.

This semester is going to be even better than the last! And you aren't going to be (as) clueless on the first day this time around!

13. But, new classes mean an entirely new set of things to learn.

Well this might be a challenge...

14. You've got this, though.

After all, this isn't your first semester.

15. Maybe you've even made time to go to a big basketball/football/soccer game

School spirit is important!

16. Let's not forget the coffee addiction you've acquired from your first year at college

Must. Have. Caffeine.

17. Trying to make time to exercise can be tricky.

But not impossible.

18. But making time for relaxing is sooooo easy.

Watch Netflix for 2 hours? Don't have to tell me twice...

19. And before you know it, freshman year will be over and you'll be on summer break

Sunny days and tans are on their way!

20. And most importantly, "Friends" taught us that friendship can get us through just about anything that life throws our way.

Because you're there for me tooooooooo ♬

For all of this, we thank you.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
