Your 20s are a time for finding yourself, exploring, learning and making mistakes. Many young adults feel as though they need to settle down with someone because of societal pressures. You do not need to be in a relationship with someone because you're 25 and your plan was to be married by 26. Nothing goes according to plan, especially when that plan was made years beforehand.

"Your 20s are your 'selfish' years. It's a decade to immerse yourself in every single thing possible. Be selfish with your time, and all the aspects of you. Tinker with shit, travel, explore, love a lot, love a little and never touch the ground." - Kyoko Escamilla

Enjoy your 20s by doing the following 20 things:

1. Finish school and graduate

Attending a university or college is a huge deal. Graduating from there is an enormous accomplishment. You are setting yourself up to open new doors in your future career.

2. Get a job you absolutely love

Put your degree into good use! No one wants to wake up before the sun rises and be miserable all day at work. Make sure to find yourself a job environment that makes you excited to wake up. Dedicate yourself to want you love, but don't overwork yourself.

3. Get into the best shape possible

Whether you workout at home, go on walks, purchase a gym membership, train for a marathon or swim, go and do it!

4. Chase your dreams

You won't get your dream job straight out of college, but that doesn't mean you stop chasing that dream job. Keep going and believe in yourself.

5. Try something new

Attending a soulcycle class, visit a national monument, taste a different kind of food or learn to play the guitar. Expand your skills, likes and taste palette.

6. Focus on your friends and make some new ones along the way

The friends you have and the new ones you make will be there for the long run. They are going to be there when you get married and have your first child. They are going to be there when your heart is broken. They are going to be there for the toughest times. They are going to be there for the funny moments. They are going to be your backbone.

7. Rid yourself of the bad people in your life

No one has time for negativity. Remove all the negative people in your life and surround yourself with people who make you feel good.

8. Travel

Explore the world! Go anywhere you can go, such as the other side of the country, another state, another country or even the other side of the world. Plan a cross country road trip with your best friends. Visit family in your home country. Go on your dream vacation!

9. Make mistakes

You have to make mistakes in order to learn something. It's okay to fall flat on your face. Get back up and continue to push through.

10. Attend a festival or concert

Go to a local concert or travel to see Coachella in April. My ultimate goal is to attend Coachella in the next few years. I will get myself to California!

11. Capture the moments

Take pictures and write about the bad and the good, the happy and the sad moments.

12. Spend time with the family

Reconnect with your family. Spend as much time as you can with them because sooner or later you'll only see them during the holidays.

13. Learn to say no

No matter what situation you are in, you can say no. You don't need to give people a reason or explanation as to why. Just simply say no.

14. Do something absolutely crazy

Go skinny dipping at a local beach or lake, drive to the highest mountain and watch the sunrise, or go on a spontaneous road trip.

15. Have a late night out

Gather up your best friends and go out! Drink margaritas and take tequila shots! Spend the night at a diner, a club or a bar. Allow yourself to be stress-free for the night.

16. Catch up on sleep

Have a day off? Relax! Catch up on the sleep you have missed.

17. Live on your own

You'll never know if you can be independent until you actually live on your own. Take that leap of faith and step out of family nest. Your family home will always be there when you need it.

18. Sing and dance around on you underwear

Get your PJ shirt and panties on. Grab that hair brush and turn on your Apple TV. Turn up the volume and dance like nobody's watching!

19. Celebrate your accomplishments

Got promoted? Grab a celebratory drink with your coworkers and friends. Studying abroad? Plan a dinner with your close friends and family before you head off on a new journey. Land your dream internship/job? Pick up a bottle of champagne and pop that sucker open.

20. Love yourself and be loved

It is important to love yourself so that you can fully love others. Find yourself and love yourself. Surround yourself with be who absolutely love you and support you no matter what.

If true love happens to find you along the way, take it! Don't toss it aside because you haven't done certain things on this list. You can do everything on this list with someone you love and loves you back.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
