20 Things To Do During One Direction's Break

For all One Direction fans, it's the time of the dreaded hiatus. After constantly touring for five straight years the band will be on a much needed break for 18 months. While we all know this break is long overdue it's going to be a very long and boring 18 months in the fandom. We won't have new music, concerts, or interviews to keep us occupied until 2017. I was thinking, "what could I do with all this free time now I won't be constantly fangirling?" That's when I came up with this list; 20 things to do during One Direction's hiatus.

1. Leave the confinements of your room, go outside and breath in the fresh air.

2. Make some new friends since you finally have the time to actually have a social life.

3. Or maybe even contact that one friend you left five years ago because you were too busy fangirling.

4. Find a part-time job.

5. You can actually save the money you earn from your job since you won't be stressed about a new tour.

6. And if you have a job, stop calling in "sick" when you really just can't get out bed because you saw a new picture of your fave.

7. Attempt to clean out your room. You never know what you can find under that Niall cutout that's stuffed under your bed.

8. Maybe pursue that love interest you've always had an eye on and no Harry Styles does not count.

9. Actually focus on school and bring up that GPA that has fallen because of a certain band.

10. Go back and watch all your concert videos. This could possibly make you sad so take little breaks between your videos. The goal isn't to be sad.

11. Watch every single X-Factor video diaries of the boys, but again, beware of the sudden urge to cry.

12. Invest your time in new bands or artists. If you can't fangirl over One Direction, might as well fangirl over someone else.

13. Start selling crafts on Etsy and if you have no artistic talent than just buy things off Etsy instead, preferably One Direction related.

14. Study the art of basket weaving. You never know when you might need a basket.

15. You could just sleep for 18 months straight. I think this is the most logical thing to do.

16. Actually, yes, sleeping is the perfect thing to do. Catch up on all the sleep you lost because of this stupid band.

17. Although I don't recommend doing this, you can panic over the fact that you will be without One Direction for 18 months. Again I DO NOT recommend this.

18. Go to the gym like you've always said you would, now you can't use the band as an excuse.

19. Buy a fish, because who doesn't love a cute, little goldfish. Now try to keep him alive for the entire break.

20. And finally if you have nine hours to spare just listen to Harry and watch This Is Us six times.

It's going to be a long 18 months but we can push through it and remember, the wise words of "High School Musical"... we're all in this together.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
