With the days getting shorter again and the back-to-school commercials already making an appearance, it's easy to feel like your summer is quickly coming to a close. Instead of letting yourself fall into a rut, make the most of the rest of your summer with this summer bucket list.

1. Go for a hike.

Gather a group of friends or family and find a place to go hiking. It's a great way to get yourself outside and enjoy nature.

2. Have a girls' day out.

Go to your favorite restaurant for brunch, get mani-pedis, go shopping and watch a chic flick with your girls!

3. Go on a spontaneous adventure.

Whether it's exploring a new town or just a late-night run to your favorite fast-food restaurant for milkshakes, there's no better way to mix up your summer routine than by doing something spontaneous.

4. Go to the zoo.

Relive your childhood by making a trip to the zoo. Although you may be older, the animals are still just as cute!

5. Visit a city...

Enjoy a day of sight-seeing, shopping and trying new food.

6. And a beach.

Whether it's the ocean or a lake near you, have some fun in the sun.

7. Read a book.

Just because it's summer doesn't mean you shouldn't give your brain a little exercise. You may even find that reading is fun when it's not assigned by your professors.

8. Spend a day with your mom...

Before you head back to school, spend some one-on-one time with your mom doing something that you both enjoy.

9. And your dad.

Don't forget Dad! He wants to spend time with you too.

10. Go to a baseball game.

MLB tickets are usually relatively easy to get and can be inexpensive, which makes going to a game a perfect summer activity. And if you don't have an MLB team near you, check out your local minor league team!

11. Have a bonfire.

Is there anything that screams summer more than a bonfire and s'mores?

12. Eat an ice cream cone.

Visit your favorite ice cream shop or check out someplace new. And don't forget the sprinkles!

13. Watch a sunset (or a sunrise).

Enjoy the beauty of nature by relaxing outside as the sun sets.

14. Catch a firefly.

Big kids can play outside too!

15. Buy a new pair of sunglasses.

Spice up your summer look with a new pair of shades.

16. Drink a Slushee.

My personal favorite is Speedway's Speedy Freezes.

17. Try something new.

Whether it's a food, a summer activity or a restaurant, add a little culture to summer by trying something new.

18. Have a photo shoot.

A photo shoot is the perfect way to have fun with your friends or family and will you remind you of all of the great memories you made this summer.

19. Go to Dunkin' Donuts during happy hour.

Happy hour at Dunkin' = $0.99 iced coffee. Need I say more?

20. Have a summer party.

Break out the grill and celebrate the most fun time of the year!

Make the most of the rest of your summer and remember that it's never too late to have a little (or a lot of) fun!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
