Summer is sadly coming to a close. Those late nights around the bonfire will soon be replaced by late nights studying at the library. But don’t worry, you probably have some time left before your move-in day arrives. So, before your classes begin and your schedule is booked to the brim with welcome week activities, take these next few days to really soak up the rest of your summer. Take a break from packing and indulge in one of your favorite summertime activities. Whether this is that spontaneous camping trip, reading a book by the lake, or having that one last bonfire with your hometown friends, you deserve to make the most of the last days of summer break. One of my favorite things about summer is the s’mores. These iconic summertime treats are seriously addicting and can be found at almost any campfire. We all know that s’mores are delicious, but have you ever thought of all the s'mores possibilities? Well, they are honestly endless, and I wanted to compile a list of some of the unique ways you can spice up or totally transform your s’mores. So, get inspired and for your last summer get-together, I challenge you to try out one of these alterations to your typical s’more:
1. You could build your s’more in a banana. If you have ever stuffed peanut butter and chocolate into a banana, wrapped it in tinfoil and threw it in the fire to cook, this is initially the same idea, just with s’mores ingredients. Try using peanut butter, marshmallows, and chocolate, then sprinkle the top with some crushed up graham crackers. YUM!
2. Use Nutella instead of chocolate squares.
3. Add cookie dough to your s’more.
4. Dip your cooked marshmallows in Baileys and then create your s’more as usual.
5. If you don’t have access to a bonfire, make your s’mores inside in a cast iron skillet. Put plenty of chocolate chips in the bottom, and marshmallows on top, then bake until the marshmallows are nice and toasted. Use graham crackers to scoop up the melty, delicious s’mores, like a dip.
6. Make a peanut butter and jelly s’more. Smear peanut butter on one graham cracker and jelly on the other, then toast your marshmallow and stick in-between.
7. Or, if you want to get really crafty, make a peanut butter and jelly bacon s’morito, wrapped in a tortilla. Take your tortilla, smear peanut butter and jelly on the top of it, add chocolate, layer on a graham cracker, add on some bacon, and top with a couple of toasted marshmallows, then roll it up for something really different.
8. Use Keebler fudge striped cookies instead of graham crackers.
9. Or, use chocolate chip cookies instead.
10. Add a Cookies and Cream bar instead of the typical milk chocolate bar.
11. Or, use a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup.
12. Make a pretzel s’more.
13. Make a s’mores milkshake.
14. Sub white chocolate for the milk chocolate and add a slice of pineapple.

15. Use chocolate marshmallows, chocolate graham crackers, and dark chocolate for an ultimate chocolate s’more.
16. Make s’mores Crescent Rolls.
17. Use a Thin Mint patty instead of a chocolate square.
18. Stuff your s’more in a cookie or a brownie.
19. Use two waffles and Nutella, and stuff with toasted marshmallows.
20. Sub dark chocolate and add bacon to your s’more.
