It would be really nice to be able to go to the gym without feeling like you have to look presentable and not workout with 400 people next to you. but hey, that's what going to your college's gym is like and here's why I hate it.

  1. I feel constantly judged no matter what time of they day I go.
  2. It's like a huge frat party with no booze
  3. I can’t go to the gym without seeing someone I know
  4. I can never remember which locker I put my stuff in
  5. My school Id picture is embarrassing and every time I check in they get a little laugh from it
  6. I have never understood why all of these girls have makeup on and their hair done, you’re here to workout not meet your future husband.
  7. Why aren’t any of these girls sweating?? I sweat my ass off every time.
  8. I couldn’t tell you how many times a girl who thinks its okay to do leg lifts on the Stair-master has almost taken me out.
  9. When I run on the indoor track I feel like I’m running with a herd
  10. No one ever cleans the mats after they use them and I know they rubbed their sweaty back all over it.
  11. The boys look at me like I am crazy when I use any machine other than the elliptical or treadmill.
  12. Everyone has to wear some sort of Greek letters to the gym so everyone can know what they’re in, nice frat tank bro.
  13. When I run on the treadmill I feel like the person next to me is trying to race
  14. If you don’t go early in the morning you better be prepared to wait for machines to open up
  15. I didn’t come to the gym to have a conversation with anyone so please stop trying to talk to me even though I clearly have my headphones in.
  16. It’s always packed leading up to spring break and then everyone gives up.
  17. If you live at an apartment complex, why don’t you just use your own gym?
  18. Likewise: if you don’t live at a complex with a gym, don’t go to one and pretend that you do.
  19. People talk about things they shouldn’t way too loudly at the gym. I don’t need to hear about your relationship problems while I’m trying to workout abs.
  20. Somewhere in my college tuition I’m paying for this gym membership whether I like it or not.

Since I'm paying for this, I'm still going to keep going no matter how much I hate it. Lucky for me, spring break season is coming to an end and so is everyone's desire to workout.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
