With America turning itself on its head last Tuesday, there's a lot of talk debating if Trump and Pence are fit to move into the Oval Office come January 2017.

While they might be taking residence at the White House soon, the jury's still out deciding if Trump and Pence are actually the best choice for U.S. leadership over the next four years. Here are some power duos who were (literal) close seconds behind Trump and Pence, and who we think would make great VP and Commander-in-chief pairs.

1. Bill Gates and Warren Buffett

Because money talks, but that amount of money wins. And can be donated. To all the places.

2. Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill

21 Jump Street showed their strength, their teamwork, and Channing's abs. And who can say no to those?

3. Oprah and Ellen

I'm dreaming of a White (House) Christmas... and that dream has both Oprah and Ellen in it. Plus, YOU get a taco, and YOU get a taco, and even YOU get a taco.

4. Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse

They're the two best friends that anyone could have. And they'll play hoops with Barack, since he'll be retired.

5. Romy and Michele

At least the Oval Office will have no shortage of Post-it notes.

6. Katniss and Peeta

I mean, they're already on fire, and heading to the Capitol. #HungerGames2016

7. Timon and Pumbaa

There would be no worries, for the rest of your days. Hakuna Matata!

8. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler

They might be sniffing each other's hair, but I guarantee they'll get sh*t done. Have you seen their weekend updates?

9. Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart

This photo literally exudes presidential vibes.

10. Harold and Kumar

They're funny, have credible work experience with DHS (see credential photo above), and will likely have more inclusive immigration policies than the United States will come January.

11. Thelma and Louise

They nailed the selfie back in the 90s; I think they've got this presidency thing covered.

12. Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph

Because no matter what, we know they'll work it out. And on the cheap.

13. George and Amal Clooney

Look me in the eye and tell me they don't look presidential.

14. Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy

They seriously bring The Heat.

15. Any Combination of: The Cast of Friends

Except Phoebe and Joey together. That would be a complete and total disaster.

16. Kate McKinnon and Alec Baldwin

They may not be the real thing, but that's what makes them so great.

17. Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine

Because they are the real thing, and that's what makes them so great.

18. Obama and Biden

With swag like that, how are you not the perfect pair to conquer the White House? Barack and Biden: You will surely be missed.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
