He's the president of my dreams.

Our president is in his second and final term and, as I’m sure you’re all aware, we have to hire someone to take his place in less than a month. As debates unravel and final decisions are being made by the good people of the U.S., I think it’s important to reminisce on the good memories Mr. Obama has given us these past 8 years. We’re leaving politics at the door here and entering a zone where Dems and the GOP become one to appreciate all the blessings Barack has bestowed upon us. This is what I’m going to miss about President Obama:

1. His sense of humor

There’s no doubt about it that Obama’s ability to joke around is one of his most beloved qualities.

2. Michelle

A literal goddess sent from heaven above. Not to mention she and Barack are beautiful soul mates.

3. His dog

I know I’m not the only one who’s going to miss seeing pictures of his pup running around the White House Lawn.

4. His friendship with Joe Biden

If their relationship isn’t your #friendshipgoals, then you’re wrong.

5. The possible chance that I might get to play a pick-up game of basketball with him.

I don’t even play basketball. But for Obama, I would play basketball.

6. That smile though.

So handsome.

7. Malia and Sasha

Their style is basically my primary fashion reference.

8. Prez can dance (and sing)

He’s never afraid to put himself out there

9. “Thanks, Obama.”

The meme of all memes.

10. He’s so good with kids.

I don’t know what it is about politicians being good with children that makes us love them so much, but I could stare at photos of Obama with babies all day (that’s a little creepy).

11. He’s good with kids part 2:

He and Michelle once read "Where The Wild Things Are" to a group of kids. How I wished to be one of them.

12. He’s so chill.

I’m sure he’s much more stressed than he often appears.

13. Impressions

One of my favorite pastimes is watching SNL and YouTube videos of Obama impressions.

14. His dad jokes

My personal favorite is from last Thanksgiving when he states, “Time flies, even if Turkeys don’t.”

15. He’s a great public speaker.

Politics aside, his speeches are always A+.

16. Modesty is the best quality

Mr. Obama never acts conceited or exudes self-pride.

17. He loves Social Media

Remember that time Obama invited YouTubers and Social Media gurus to the White House to discuss millennials and their impact on the world? My kind of guy.

18. Speaking of White House guests…

He’s had such a diverse group of performers and guests over the past 8 years.

These are just a few of the many reasons I’ll miss our current president. Whether he was your top choice back in ‘08 (or ‘12) or not, no one can deny that Obama and his family have some pretty great qualities that they bestowed upon the White House for the past 8 years. Political views set aside, Barack is one heck of a guy that I’m sure we’re all going to miss.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
