For College and Graduate School students, it's important to boost that resume. For that desired career path that we want to go into, experience is key. Everybody wants an opportunity to do quality work, to prove themselves, show that they are one of the best talents, and to excite the potential for future opportunities. It's not an easy process, though. It's like dating, where you have to put in a lot of effort, but you'll face rejection and have negative feelings and self-doubt. But you'll get one, or possibly a few, offers too, and these will be among the bright spots. Here are 17 things that happen when you get a good internship.
1. You feel happy.
You feel happy when you get a good internship. Enough said.
2. You're not sitting around during the summer and doing nothing.
You're actually doing something productive and meaningful.
3. You share with your social media friends that you've received an offer / gotten a job.

4. You will still have time to yourself.
When you head home from work on a Friday and need a release, you can go out for a night on the town or at the club, relax in the pool, or Netflix and Chill.
5. You make new friends.
You're going to meet a new team that you'll work with during the internship and you'll get the opportunity to meet other interns as well.
6. You'll celebrate it by hanging out with friends.
You'll meet up with them and they'll ask you how you're doing. "I got an offer!"
7. Your background check is conducted.
Hiring managers, recruiters, and talent acquisition will do this pivotal process to make sure that you are you. They'll make sure that what they find matches up with what they got when you applied.
8. You take your social media more seriously.
Some employers do a social media background check, so because of that, you'll edit your privacy settings too to make sure that what's supposed to be private, well, is.
9. You'll fill out onboarding forms.
When you've officially received the formal offer letter, talent acquisition will ask you to fill out forms pertaining to taxes, identity, and more.
10. You get your birth certificate or passport, or drivers license and some other ID ready.
You'll need these on your first day.
11. You get ready for opening day orientation.
You'll learn about things that will be important to know during your work time and any key information for doing your work in the office.
12. You accept a verbal offer.
When you get that call from the recruiter saying, "We'd like to extend an offer..." all you do is accept it and get ready for the next steps of the process having accepted the verbal offer.
13. You look up how to get to work.
You know where the office is, or where the work site is, and you make sure you know the way there.
14. You receive an offer letter and you sign it.
Once you get the offer letter, you read through it to know when you start and any other provisions there are in the offer letter.
15. You make sure that you get off to a good start.
A good internship experience is important, and it's a good start when you arrive on time for your first day.
16. You enjoy the work that you do.
This is the true definition of a good internship. You enjoy what you did, and you're proud of the work you've done. You feel comfortable with being uncomfortable since you face challenges, but you're willing to rise up to them and get the job done.
17. You set yourself up for bigger and better career opportunities.
In a good internship, you're going to learn plenty and also develop your skill set further. When you develop your skills further, you'll open the door to get better opportunities when you start working full-time.
