Over the past few years, I have been working on creating the perfect study playlist. On one hand You can't have music that is too upbeat because then you will get distracted from studying and just want to sing along. On the other hand, if you have music that is too slow then it may put you to sleep. Here are seventeen of my favorite songs to listen to while I'm studying for finals or any test for that matter.
1. Chocolate - Tribute to The 1975 (Instrumental)
I love to use this song for two reasons. One, because it's a great song. Two, this version doesn't have any words to it so it's easy to focus.
2. "I Lived" by One Republic
3. "Riptide" by Vance Joy
4. "Let Her Go" by Passenger
5. "Shape of You" (Acoustic version) by Ed Sheeran
If you have a song that you love, but it's too upbeat to study with try finding the acoustic version!
6. "I Don't Want to Be" (Stripped version) by Gavin DeGraw
7. "Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol
8. "The Cave" by Mumford & Sons
9. "Collide" (Acoustic version) by Howie Day
10. "Come on Get Higher" by Matt Nathanson
11. "You And Me" by Lifehouse
12. "Somewhere Only We Know" by Keane
13. "Better Together" by Jack Johnson
14. "Flowers in Your Hair" by The Lumineers
The Lumineers have a lot of fantastic songs. Even though this one isn't the most mellow song you could use I've found that it is still good to study with.
15. "Brother" by NEEDTOBREATHE (ft. Gavin DeGraw)
16. "Latch" (Acoustic) by Sam Smith
17. "Waikiki" by Deep Chills
If you add no other song to your playlist add this one or at least listen to it. It's a song that can very easily be danced to, but there aren't any words so it's easy to study with as well.
You can find all of these songs on my Spotify! They are on a playlist called "breathe." I do have a study playlist, but honestly, I just use my "breathe" playlist to study.
