OU, I love you but I have a lot of questions for ya. Not throwing shade, just asking legitimate questions that will probably never be answered. BOOMER!

1. Why does OU parking purposely oversell parking passes?

2. Does anyone actually check the professor and TA evaluations?

3. Will Kaufman Hall ever be remodeled?

4. When will we get our beautiful new landscaping all across campus?

5. Will Cross ever be successful? Or are we just going to let a million-dollar building sit there?

6. Is the CFA in the union ever under a mile long?

7. Can we build more parking garages, please? Help the commuters out!

8. Can professor actually round our grades from 88% to 99%, please? Asking for a friend.

9. Why does Dale always have a weird smell?

10. Why do ya'll always wait until the last minute to cancel classes when there's bad weather?

11. Can the people who work in the Bursar's office be a little nicer, please? Ya'll take all of our money and are way too happy about it.

12. Does anyone actually ever eat at the Laughing Tomato in the union?

13. Why do the professors have "office hours" but rarely show up?

14. Why does everyone push 15 hours a semester and graduating on time in 4 years when it is not that important?

15. Why is Goddard always fully booked for counseling appointments? Oh yeah, because students really care about their mental health!

16. Can the biz be open 24/7 for those of us who like to live in the library? I'm a late-night owl and that's when I get in the zone for writing papers!

17. Why do some of the TA's teach the class better than the actual professor?

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
