This past week, I moved the two hours from Raleigh to Wilmington. It was something that I had been waiting to do for months, counting down the days and getting more and more excited as each day passed. I didn't start packing until the day before I moved due to my work schedule, but honestly, it didn't take up too much time. Here are some thoughts I had while I was packing!
1. Who knew I had so many clothes?
2. Do I really need to bring this T-shirt I made during the 2010 marching band season?
3. The answer is yes. Bring all the T-shirts!
4. What about this empty binder I will probably never use?
5. Should I wash my sheets before I move or when I actually move in?
6. I wonder what kitchen supplies my roomies are going to bring.
7. I hope I really like my roomies.
8. OK only six rubbermaid bins?
That's all? Awesome.
9. Oh, wait. There's still all of my bedding, clothes from my closet, my computer -- ugh.
10. I leave in 10 hours and I feel like nothing is done!
11. OK, maybe I should get some sleep -- more than four hours is (probably) a good idea.
12. (Six hours later.) Good morning world and all those inhabit it!
13. Wow, I really move today.
To a new city. A new place entirely.
14. Now to get the rest of my s**t together.
15. Now that everything is together and in both cars, let's get some food.
16. Is my playlist ready?
17. Am I ready?
Moving may seem scary, but it's always for the best! I know amazing things are going to happen at my time in Wilmington -- a few already have! I'm super excited to see what this city brings me.
