Get ready, because Season 2 of "The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" is about to stream on Netflix. It has been over a year since Kimmy Schmidt entered our lives with her tale of her life as a mole woman and escape from the bunker, and we can't stop anxiously counting down until part two of her story begins. If you haven’t already watched season one, you need to go binge-watch the hilarious perfection that is Kimmy Schmidt in preparation for season two. Not only is the show hysterical, but it also teaches important life lessons that we can all learn from. To prepare yourself for season two, here are 17 life lessons from season one of the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt:

1. You are stronger than you think.

If Kimmy can survive 15 years in a bunker, you can accomplish anything! Don't ever sell yourself short; you are unbreakable!

2. Let loose and have fun sometimes.

Sometimes you just need to unwind and dance like no one is watching. (And remember that "dancing is about butts now").

3. Always help your friends achieve their dreams.

Whatever their dreams may be, like being on the Broadway stage, you always need to have your friends back!

4. Always see the good side in any situation.

Even in a bad situation, look for the bright side! When life gives you lemons, make lemonade (or picture yourself as a Disney princess being assisted by animals).

5. "Act like you belong and the world is your oyster."

Never feel like you don't fit in somewhere; just act like you belong and your opportunities are endless!

6. You don't need to hide who you really are.

Never feel like you have to change what you look like or filter yourself! Be yourself and be proud!

7. Being an adult is not all it's cracked up to be.

Although you always dreamed about when you be an adult, the reality of adulthood is not all that great.

8. So embrace your inner child every once in a while.

Everyone needs to let their inner child out every so often and have some fun!

9. Don't let what other people say about you get you down.

Everybody is entitled to their own opinion of you, so let them to have their opinion and move on with your life. Just keep living your life and don't let what others say bother you.

10. But every once in a while it's okay to stand your ground (and always have a good comeback handy).

While turning the other cheek is usually the best thing to do, sometimes you just need to stand up for yourself (hopefully with an amazing comeback).

11. You can be anything you want to be.

Don't ever feel like you can't achieve your dreams! You can do anything you set your mind to (even being a monkey)!

12. It's what's inside that counts.

Don't worry so much about "fixing" what you look like. Focus on making yourself happier by focusing on you!

13. Everyone is different, be proud and own who you are.

So what if you are different? Be confident and proud of who you are and never let anyone let you feel otherwise.

14. Smiling can make you feel better no matter what.

Whenever you aren't feeling great, just try smiling, or "kimmying", to make yourself happier.

15. You need to listen to your own intuition.

Listen to your gut, don't just ignore it! Although it might not always be right, you have to trust your instincts.

16. Just take everything 10 seconds at a time, and you can get through anything.

If you are in a stressful or unpleasant experience, set your goal to get through the next 10 seconds. If you can get through 10 seconds at a time, you will be able to finish the task. You can use this concept in so many situations, like in class or at the gym, to get through the day.

17. The most important lesson:

5 Things To Do That Are Better Than Writing A Paper

Don't waste your time trying to write that paper when there are so many more interesting things you could be doing.

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?

I can barely remember back when I was the only child. Most would say it’s because it is extremely difficult to remember things as a toddler but I would say it's because I was bored until my sister came along. My mother always says how important the "sister bond" is and with every year that passes I realize how right she is. Instead of writing a novel about all of the wonderful things there are about having a sister I decided to list a few of them instead.

It is the time of our lives that we are beginning to enter the adult world and most of us, if not all of us, have no idea what we are doing. It's like starting a video game, but skipping the tutorial. We're all just running around aimlessly hoping we accidentally do something right that moves us along the right path. Now that graduation has just happened, or is right around the corner for some of us, it's time to start thinking about how we are going to take care of ourselves once we are on our own.

If you’re anything like me, you love a good cup of coffee. My coffee always comes from Starbucks; I refuse to drink it from anywhere else. Over the years, it’s become one of my biggest addictions.
