When someone tells you to binge watch 'F.R.I.E.N.D.S.' you do that. I mean, after the first episode, you get so sucked in that you just can't stop after that. Pretty soon you're watching an episode in the 30 mins you have between classes, which is a perfect time slot because each episode is only approx. 22 minutes. Therefore it's basically like the universe saying "Stop. Watch 'Friends.' You know you want to." Soon enough, it's a necessity to watch at least 3 episodes a day. Although many may frown upon your binge watching habits–don't cringe under pressure–you keep doing you. This show is not just an ear full, but can give off some great life lessons that are very useful in the future, whether far or near. I would like to share some of my favorite lessons with you that keep me going.
1. Through any trials and tribulations in your life, if you have that trustworthy friend group, they will NEVER ever leave you. They will take you for whatever you are. Only will this happen if you have the truest of true friends.
2. Adulting doesn't have to be as serious as everyone makes it up to be.
3. Make sure one of your friends is a fairly decent chef in order to have weekly "family" dinners with a yummy, free, prepared meal.
4. If all else fails, make sure one of your friends has a phone and the number to the nearest pizza parlor–for emergencies of course.
5. Tell your friends about all your dates, whether good or bad. If they're bad, they have probable cause to break out the coveted ice cream pint in the freezer.
6. If you love someone, make sure you tell them at every chance you get. Don't wait around for years like Ross did.
7. Being a barista can have it's perks if you work at your friend's favorite coffee shop.
8. No matter how mad you are at your truest friend, you must never let them go because these friends are priceless and irreplaceable.
9. Wine, beer or alcoholic beverages are (almost) always a must for any large gathering with bickering families.
10. Always love any friend who has a musical dream even if you have to bandage your ears to stop the bleeding.
11. Anything you tell one friend in the group, will eventually get around to everybody. So don't even try to hide it.
12. Having a roommate move out may seem fun until you realize you have to discuss the TV show over the phone while it is airing.
13. Although breakups are rough on people, you can always count on your friends to sit with open ears and arms.
14. On the other side of things, when you have a juicy date story to tell, you best believe your friends will be there with wine and comfy clothes.
15. Having a real, adult job is tough. But, remember after a long day how great your friends are.
16. In Chandler's, or anyone's case some habits just never die.
17. You may fight, you may bicker, you may cry, you may laugh, but through everything your true friends will be there every single step of the way. Relax and ride the waves.
Don't think for one second that you're ever alone in the world. Whether you know them yet or not, God has a certain person or people planned out just for you. So embrace it and be patient, or embrace your friends now and never let them go.
