Don't know what to watch? Here are some underrated movies you should take a look at, who knows maybe you'll find one of your old favorites or a maybe even a new favorite. So please silence your cell phone, grab some popcorn and enjoy!
Grand Budapest Hotel
This movie was stunning in every aspect. From the meticulous cinematography to the impeccable acting. This cannot be recommended enough.
Third Star
This is an early movie in Benedict Cumberbatch's career but it is, in my opinion, one of his best. It is a sad one, I'd keep a box of tissues nearby.
Fury
This is based on a collection of stories from soldiers that served in World War II from inside tanks. It has an honesty that's hard to find elsewhere.
500 Days of Summer
This one is priceless.
Emporers New Groove
Need I say more.
The Spectacular Now
Shailene Woodley and Miles Teller with an Indie movie feel.
Book of Life
A stunning cast for an equally stunning movie. The animation was incredible as well.
Eddie the Eagle
This is a true story and one of the most heartwarming Olympic stories ever.
Treasure Planet
This is a throwback but is still so watchable.
The King's Speech
Colin Firth and Helena Bomen Carter are just at the start of the list of phenomenal cast members.
Dr. Strangelove
It's is a quirky one, but give it a chance.
Perks of Being a Wallflower
Post Harry Potter Emma Watson and one of the most touching coming of age stories ever.
Howl's Moving Castle
This movie is pure gold and has one of those original timeless plots. If you like this one, be sure to check out the rest of Studio Ghibli.
About Time
Imagine The Time Travelers Wife, but British with a happy ending.
Crimson Peak
I personally would not classify this as a horror more, of a thriller. Visually this movie is gorgeous. A little Tom Hiddleston doesn't hurt either.
Scott Pilgrim vs The World
I don't know if this is technically 'underrated' but it's marvelous and no one will tell me differently.
Corpse Bride
This is my personal favorite Tim Burton movie. It's so everything about it stands out as unique and everytime I watch it I find something new.
