Now that we are a month into the fall college semester, things are a little different than they were four weeks ago. Here are 16 thoughts that a college student has once the semester begins to get crazy:
1. "How can I possibly have this much work? My professors definitely get together and devise a plan to make my life miserable."
2. "I’m so exhausted that I’m speaking in wingdings."
3. "What is sleep?"
4. "It’s only Tuesday, and I am already wishing it were Friday night."
5. "I am taking five classes, and I have three papers due and four exams this week. How is that possible?!"
6. "I shouldn't go buy a coffee with four shots of espresso because I've already had five of them today, but I NEED IT!"
7. "I’ve been reading and staring at my computer screen so long that I can’t see straight."
8. "How the hell are people able to go out on a Wednesday and/or Thursday night?!"
9. "Why is it that the clock doesn't move when I am in class, but it moves at hyper-speed when I am doing homework?"
10. "If you figure out where I can get some sleep, can you let me know ASAP?" (Are you starting to see the trend?)
11. "Maybe if I ask nicely enough I can get an extension on that paper!"
12. "I guess I didn't ask nicely enough. Time to write that 10-page paper that’s due in four hours."
13. "Why do I have an assignment due on Saturday?"
14. "It’s 8 p.m., and I haven't had anything to eat all day. I better go eat something quick and then get back to work."
15. "Am I going crazy, or is there a trend in which I practically have no work to do for three weeks and then have an insane amount of work for three weeks?"
16. "Why did I wait until the last minute to study for that exam?"
