Chopped might just be the most entertaining show on Food Network. I’m a Food Network fan, and Chopped is on all the time, so I have probably watched more than 100 episodes of the show. Every episode is so new and unexpected, I always learn something new when I have to Google a basket ingredient I have never heard of before. Here are some things that go through my mind when I watch an episode of Chopped.

1. You pay close attention to the beginning because you can tell from their intros which chefs have what it takes and which ones are going to choke.

2. You are familiar with maybe 2 of the basket ingredients, and the other two you are totally grossed out by or just plain confused by.

3. You get excited when an episode has your favorite judge (*cough* Scott Conant *cough*), and the other ones are okay too.

4. You think to yourself, “Ted is so motivating, he should narrate my life.”

5. When something burns you automatically think, “Well I could have done that.” Come on, Chef!

6. You shake your head in disappointment when someone wants to use the anti griddle or molecular gastronomy. It never ends well, so just cook.

7. You get grossed out when a chef cuts themselves, but then you think about how the judges have to eat food prepared by a bloody hand covered in a glove and that’s just too much.

8. The worst people are the ones who decide that they don't feel like working with the weird ingredients so they put most of them in a food processor and make a sauce that ends up being the nastiest color.

9. There are 2 minutes and 11 seconds left in the round and a contestant is still waiting on their food to come out of the oven. Really?! Get plating!

10. You find it funny when Ted says times up and the chefs look around at each other’s plates and judge the ugly plates so hard.

11. “I look down and realize, I forgot to use the *insert basket ingredient here* !” Well there’s always next time, chef, but I’m pretty sure you have just been chopped.

12. When a judge says to a chef “Did you taste this before you served it?,” It’s safe to say they messed up the dish big time.

13. It’s kind of funny to see two or three judges eating a dish and one of them just watches because the chef ran out of time and didn't plate all 4 dishes.

14. The bad mouthing that takes place before the dessert round starts is the best part. “No, you are going down.”

15. When someone who gets chopped is really mad and starts bickering with the judges, or confesses to the camera how he believes chopping him was a huge mistake, you can't wait for him or her to leave already.

16. You find it funny how in every episode the judges say one second how hard of a decision they have to make, then the next second they’ve made the decision.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
