16 Things You Know If You're In A Group Chat

If you and your best friends all go to different schools, you without a doubt created a group chat that you all write in at least twice a week to keep in touch. Sometimes weeks will go by where you've barely all talked to one another but you can always count on one person in the group text to text a random "I miss you all" or "omg you wouldn't believe what happened last night." If you and your best friends have a group message here 16 things that you should know all too well.

1. You leave your phone for 5 minutes and you come back to 400 messages.

2. It's almost impossible to make plans.

Either a few people don't answer or the whole conversation gets sidetracked and you soon realize that you didn't even make plans.

3. You gossip about people's Instagram posts.

4. No matter what time of day it is, someone is always talking in the group chat.

5. There's always that one person that goes MIA for awhile and we just continue to blow their phone up.

6. The question, "Is everyone looking cute or can I dress like a hobo?" is always asked before a get together.

Because no one wants to show up in a cute outfit when they could of just worn yoga pants and a hoodie.

7. There's always like three different conversations going on at once and it's impossible to keep up.

10. When that one person who's been MIA finally responds:

11. When the group chat becomes heated your phone battery goes from 100% to 0% real fast.

12. You could make a photo album with all of the screenshots that are sent daily.

Mainly any guy we are in a relationship with/talking to should know that anything you send to us is most likely sent to the group chat for a second opinion on what to say.

13. We all get so excited when a message starts out with, "You won't believe what happened last night."

Because we all love hearing about the most current drama in our friends lives.

14. You ask for everyone's honest opinion and usually get back about 12 sarcastic responses instead.

15. When you ask a question or make a comment and no one responds.

16. There's always one person that chimes in after 456 messages and asks what's going on.

But we all know that life wouldn't be the same without the group chat. They always keep the conversation going and it's a way to stay in touch with each other when we unfortunately cannot see each other as often as we would like to. I'd like to give a shout out to my group chat, thank you for being the best group of friends a girl could ask for, I love you all!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
