Summer is the best time of year for people who love concerts. Summer is the time for music festivals, getting the free time away from school and work to see the bands you love. If you are one of those people who loves spending long days and nights jamming with your favorites, then this is for you.

Get ready for the summer of a lifetime:

1. There Is Never Such Thing As Too Early.

No matter if waiting means standing out in the freezing Michigan winters for two hours waiting for the doors to open, you’ll do it because your favorite band is worth it. Of course, it means you’ll get a spot closer to the stage too (if it’s general admission), so you’ll get the full experience.

2. You Keep All Of Your Ticket Stubs.

Dating back all the way to your very first concert, each one holds its own memories.

3. Always Bring A Buddy.

It's safer and way more fun with a friend! You'll have someone to share the memories with and laugh at inside jokes with later on.

4. You Know How To Stand Your Ground (And Wiggle Your Way Closer).

Put your foot out so no one tries to make a move. With practice, you'll learn how to sneak through any gap and get closer to the main stage.

5. You Appreciate All Of The Jobs, No Matter How Small They Seem.

Every member of the backstage crew, soundboard team, lighting crew, and more is so essential to the performance and the experience that we get from it.

6. You Don’t Want To Get Caught Singing The Wrong Lyric.

Practice beforehand and make sure you memorize them. One time, I sang the right lyric at the wrong time, and it was SO embarrassing.

7. If You’re A Girl, Wear The Appropriate Bra.

I speak from experience; that is all.

8. You Keep An Eye On Your Favorite Bands Year-Round.

You’re one of the first people to know when they are headed to your city, when they drop a new song or album, and when they put out a music video.

9. Always Bring Money For Merch.

And bring extra because the opening bands may surprise you. There have been too many times where I’ve fallen in love with the openers and wanted to buy their merchandise.

10. Stick Around After The Show When The Venue Is Smaller.

You may get that chance to talk to that band member you’ve always wanted to meet.

11. Never Forget To Support Your Local Music.

I’ve gotten to watch a band from my hometown grow over six years of hard work. I am so excited for their future and I can’t wait to see what happens.

12. Don’t Be Afraid To Talk To Fans.

You’re all there to support your faves, so why not have fun together? A lot of bands I know consider their fans to be friends, so why not act like friends? You’d be surprised at the stories the other fans will tell you.

13. If The Concert Is Outdoors, Make Sure To Stay Hydrated.

I’ve come close to passing out too many times to forget this one.

14. Bring Snacks.

I have been so thankful to myself every time I pack some snacks for myself and my friends. A great snack to bring, believe it or not, is gummy bears. Those sugary treats are so great for hot summer concerts, at least for me. Again, I have almost passed out too many times.

15. A Part Of Your Paycheck Goes Toward A Concert Fund.

That way, you’ll always be able to see the shows.

16. You Don’t Need Drugs To Feel High.

You’re on top of cloud nine after shows. Nothing brings you down. After having an encounter with a band member, everything feels like a dream.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
