As is evidenced by the enormous numbers of papers to write, projects to finish, and tests to study for: finals week is almost here. The number of sleep-deprived, bleary-eyed, frazzled students is increasing by the day. This time of the semester can be rough, but there are also some simple ways to make these last few weeks a little better.
Here are some thoughts:
1. Allow yourself time to sleep.
2. Eat healthy meals on a normal schedule.
3. Breathe.
4.Take breaks that allow your mind to clear and body to move and stretch.
5. Listen to calming music as you study, write and work on projects.
6. Do not put things off until the last minute.
7. If you find that your procrastination has taken over, do not panic.
8. Plan for success, not perfection.
9. Allow yourself to have some downtime: you need that.
11. Do not skip showering. Do this for your sake and for the sake of those you are going to be around.
12. Schedule out your classes, finals, and homework so nothing remains nebulous.
13. Again, breathe.
14. Take each thing as it comes and do not stress about it.
15. Remember that in a few short days, you will have conquered another semester!
