Everyone has worked out at some point in their life. No matter if you are a dedicated gym rat or a "I'm only doing this until I see results" type of person, we've all gone through a period of not working out. Whether it be by injury or laziness, you’ve stopped pushing your body and the climb to get your body feeling energized and healthy again is one of the most rewarding things you can do for yourself. But before you can even imagine the finish line, there's a journey to endeavor, parallel to what Samwise Gamgee encountered (let's be real he carried Frodo through the series). Here’s a few thoughts you may have had when you’ve decided that it’s time again:
1. My body is going to drown in the sorrows of my own sweat and tears.
I already know how this is going to go down…
2. Okay, this really is happening. This needs to happen.
I shouldn’t be getting tired 2 hours after waking up. My body is begging me to do something. Literally.
3. I should probably stretch now.
You know, that thing where I pretend to touch my toes.
4. How long is this going to take? Like, for my body to feel good again.
Is the room spinning or is this machine supposed to do that?
5. Nope, this hurts.
My stomach is convulsing and my legs are going to break to make me stop.
6. I’ve got to be at three miles by now.
*Looks down* .75 miles
7. Am I really this out of shape?
I shouldn’t be able to hear my own breathe through these headphones.
8. Thank god I’m not doing P90X.
No one should be that happy to do burpees.
9. Does this mean I can’t participate in Frappy Hour?
I’ve been waiting since last May for a $3 grande green tea frappuccino.
10. I’m going to have to track what I eat now too, aren’t I.
What are carbs again?
11. I know I can do this. I have to do this, for my body’s sake.
I only have one chance in this body.
12. Honestly, this isn’t that bad.
I could do this everyday. Okay, like every week.
13. I CAN DO THIS.
Killin’ these reps since ‘19-minutes ago.
14. I’m pretty sure I look thinner now.
I mean, there's no definition yet, but there's potential.
15. And I feel like I can conquer anything now.
Ready to wear my skin loud and proud.
