And no, getting a Pumpkin Spice Latte is not on this list.

Ah, Fall. You cease to amaze me with your colorful leaves, cool breeze, and snuggable onesies. If you are a fan of Fall (and if you aren’t, WYD?), you’ll relate to just about everything below.

1. Every scarf and beanie you own is on full display in your room.

So you can easily choose when you’re getting ready in the morning, because is your Fall outfit complete without a scarf or beanie?

2. You love that it gets darker sooner.

So you can light candles and be super aesthetically pleasing when the sun sets at 5 p.m., duh.

3. If you aren’t in the city, you rake leaves.

And it doesn’t even feel like a chore.

4. Then jump in said leaves.

Because no one rakes leaves for any other reason.

5. If you are in the city, you step on every crunchy looking leaf you see.

Just so you can feel included in the leaf jumping tradition.

6. Apples are your go-to fruit.

Apple cider, apple pie, apple everything.

7. You go on foliage drives.

So many colors.

8. Bonfires.

It’s the perfect time to huddle around a fire with…

9. Smores.

They aren’t just for the summertime!

10. You go to supermarkets just to laugh at the Christmas displays.

Because it’s ridiculous that they’re up so damn early. I love Christmas, you love Christmas, but give Thanksgiving its time!

11. Thanksgiving is your favorite meal of the year.

Nothing beats the comfort of turkey and stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie...need I say more?

12. The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade has been a family ordeal for as long as you can remember.

I can’t be the only one who remembers surrounding the TV and watching the parade with my crazy family. As soon as Santa comes, we all get up and dance to ‘It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year’ on record, and no, the dogs are not excluded.

13. Cuddling.

‘Nuff said.

14. You stock up on soup.

Even if you’re not sick, soup is so comforting and yummy when you’ve just come inside from the cold.

15. You forget how to shave.

Ladies, we all can relate to this one. And if you can’t, you are wrong.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
