Many of us went through that phase, around the age of 15, when we thought we knew absolutely everything. We knew better than our parents. We knew exactly what we wanted from life. We couldn't wait to move out and live the crazy college party life. And we didn't listen to anyone. Well, now at the age of 21, I've learned a few valuable life lessons that I think 15-year-old me, should have listened to.

1. College isn't all fun and games

College comes along with a lot of stress, papers, sleepless nights in the library, and due dates that never seem to end. The frat party movies that show nothing but endless drinking, dancing, and beer pong; well they lied.

2. Save your money

Even though my parents always told me to save my money, I never listened. Now as a broke college kid, I wish I did.....bills bills and more bills.

3. Enjoy your free summers

Soon enough you'll be working a nine to five internship and the pool will seem like a distant memory.

4. He's not the one

As hard as it may be to believe at the time and as much as you don't want to hear it, that boy who broke your heart left for a reason. Someone else will come your way, who will treat you a thousand times better each and every day.

5. And, she may not always be your best friend

People grow apart as they get older. And as you continue to grow, you will make new friends that will stick around until the end!

6. Driving isn't all that great

TRAFFIC!

7. Spend more time with your parents

We've all been through a stage when we thought "oh, mam and dad, please don't embarrass me!" But once you've moved out, you will find yourself calling them asking to hang out on a Saturday afternoon.

8. They're always right

Let's be honest you have probably heard them say all of these things once or twice.

9. Don't fight with your siblings

Even if you don't want to admit it, they are your best friends!

10. It's okay not to have it all figured out

I am a senior in college and still don't have it all quite figured out. But you live and you learn, every step of the way.

11. The high school drama will fade away

Sometimes high school feels like it will last forever, but just hold on a few more years and you will be out in the real world, where no one talks shit about who you date and no one is judging your outfit choices.

12. Appreciate home cooked meals

All those healthy dinners mam tries to make you eat.... you'll miss them when all you can make is microwavable broccoli and toast.

13. Blend that eyeshadow

14. Don't care what other people think of you

If you want to work out every day, do it for YOU. If you want to eat 10 cupcakes in a row, do it for YOU. People can be cruel, but try to forget about the haters and do whatever makes you happy! And that goes both ways, never judge a book by its cover.

15. Life changes and that is okay

It will only get better!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
