You may think that being single on Valentine's Day sucks. I understand, I've been there too. Is there any way to make your day not lonely? There sure is! Here are 15 ways that single people can have a great Valentine's Day.
1. Take advantage of the cheap chocolate.
Chocolate has always been one of my favorite part of Valentine's Day. Feb. 15 always has super cheap chocolate. Go buy out the store.
2. Netflix binge-watching
Sometimes, the best way to have a great day is to sit in bed and watch Netflix. All. Day. Long. Because, why not?
3. Order a heart-shaped pizza
Seriously. You can order a heart-shaped pizza from Pizza Hut.
4. Stuffed animals are always cool
There's no better way to make yourself happy than to get yourself a nice, big teddy bear.
5. Watch whatever you want!
You don't have to make a deal with your significant other on what to watch. Wanna watch a chick flick? Do it. Action movie? DO IT. Watch what you want!
6. Anti-Valentine's Day party?
Is that a thing? Do it! Host a party for your friends. Don't include heart cookies, love songs, or roses.
7. Road Trip!
Go to the beach. Mountains. Maybe even just a night on the town.
8. Dress up.
Look SUPER cute. Be proud of the fact that you're single! Show that you don't have to have a boyfriend to make you happy.
9. Buy yourself your own gift.
Is there this nice bracelet, necklace, pair of earrings or watch that you have been wanting? Don't wait for a guy to buy it for you. Splurge and treat yourself.
10. Share the love.
Just because you're single doesn't mean that you can't send other people cards. Buy a pack of the super cheap cards that you used back in elementary school. Attach a piece of candy and send them to your friends. It'll make their day and yours.
11. Go for a run.
If you're still feeling lonely, do something to get your mind off of it. Go for a run, it'll help you not think about the single life.
12. Secret Santa.
Except not Santa. Secret Cupid! Get together a group of your friends and treat each other with small surprises throughout the week without them knowing. On Valentines Day, have a reveal party.
13. Turn to books
Seriously. Go bury your nose in your favorite novel or series. Like Harry Potter? Reread all of them throughout the week. Romance novels? Read!
14. Go out with friends
You don't NEED a guy to take you out to eat. Go out to Olive Garden with your girl friends! Go see a romantic movie with your girls!
15. Love yourself
Make a list about why you love being single! Pamper yourself. Do different things to remind yourself that you're a beautiful person.
It's possible to have a fantastic Valentine's Day without being in a relationship. Hanging out with your friends and family is the best way to do that. Before you get sad that you don't have a boyfriend to spoil you on Feb. 14, remember that you can spend time loving your best friends. But more than anything, you need to make sure you love yourself.
