It's that time of year again, when leaves fall, the temperature drops, the air is crisp, and everyone begins to bring out their cozy clothes from storage.
However, for some, this time of year is extremely uncomfortable. To everyone else out there with Raynaud's Syndrome, this one is for you.
1. Purple fingers.
Forget your hand warmers? Forget your gloves? Hell, forget to put your hands in your pockets? Well, you can look forward to rocking the purple finger look- with numbness and tingling thrown in for free.
2. Putting on a sweater- or two once the temperature drops.
Hey, the bundled up and bulky look isn't always ideal, but your other option is shivering.
3. "Oh my God are you okay?"
This probably gets annoying sometimes, but hey, it's nice that people care about you. Or maybe they're just wondering why your hands are discolored.
4. Sometimes it's not just your hands
Yep, on certain days your feet and toes get to join the purple party too!
5. Hot beverages are the best
They double as a hand warmer, and who doesn't love hot cocoa, coffee, or tea on a cold day?
6. As well as purple, your hands also turn so white they look like zombie fingers
But you don't really find it disturbing... anymore.
7. Feeling pins and needles in your hands and feet doesn't really alarm you
Honestly, it's kind of normal at this point.
8. You kind of dread shaking hands sometimes
"Sorry, I know they're cold."
9. Sometimes when you look in the mirror you expect to see a White Walker
Because you feel just as cold as one.
10. Fuzzy socks are a must have
Everyone likes them, but you love them- because they keep your cold toes nice and warm.
11. Your idea winter day probably involves a warm blanket, a fireplace, and a cup of hot cocoa at some point
Ideal. Cozy. Scenario.
12. You always get a little excited to meet someone else with Reynaud's
Someone else who understands your perpetual ice hands!
13. After September, your interest in outdoor activities decreases
Unless, of course, it's an unseasonably warm fall.
14. You kind of dread the first time you hold hands with someone you've started dating
You know that they like you, but deep down, you can't help but wonder if icy cold hands are a deal breaker.
15. You really mean it when you say "I can't wait for summer"
Because summer means no chance of cold hands... unless you pick up a cold drink.
