My close friends and I have spent a great deal of time together. From middle school to high school to almost completing college we have come quite the way in terms of understanding each other, and figuring out the microscopic details that really make the difference between “best-friends” and “life-long friends”. That being said I could write them a lengthy ode in which I pour my heart out, but I strongly feel they would appreciate my emotions as summed up by some of our favorite characters instead.

1. How I initially felt towards them in middle school vs. how I feel now

2. An excellent representation of us in high school: “regrettable choices, even more, regrettable hairstyles. Shout out to my girl who sported a Beatles in the mid-60’s haircut freshman year”

3. How our teachers most likely felt when we were put in classes together. Especially senior year

4. Finally graduating but then learning that one of us would be going to Dallas while the rest of us stayed in Houston. The betrayal was SO real

5. Then taking a nice little road-trip to Dallas to go visit her because no amount of traffic could hold us, or our $15 air-mattress back

6. Turning our Dallas road-trips into a tradition

7. Yet another slightly questionable tradition of ours: eating out at a pricey fusion tapas restaurant despite the food getting less bearable each time. “They could serve us a dead rat and we would go back. It is tradition”

8. Just when you thought our taste in food was bad. Wait till you see our taste in men!

An accurate representation of us trying to get them away from some horrible dudes.

9. Trying to cheer them up after they too realize that yes, their taste in men was less than acceptable

10. "Learning" things from each other. These may or may not be actual facts. They could be "alternative facts"

11. Reassuring each other that you will be the best aunt to their children. Yes, that means I expect at least four children named Ketaki jr

12. Letting them go through with less-than advisable ideas-then laughing at them later on

13. This one is a special shout out to my friend who left to Dallas. We will continue eating your food because you left us

14. When some of us get ready to go out before the rest

15. Loving each other regardless of the terrible taste in things, and questionable choices we make

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
