We promise we've all been wicked good this year.

1. Snow... and lots of it.

I'm not talking about that random few inches that decides to make an appearance in the middle of July, to the surprise of everyone except anyone who lives here. I'm talking about amount where anyone shorter than the infamous Bouncing Bumble will instantly disappear beneath the drifts.

2. Christmas music playing way too early (yes, even you, Mariah and Michael).

All I want for Christmas is youuuu... TO LEAVE MY HALLOWEEN AND THANKSGIVING ALONE ARGHHH

3. Watching "Elf" for probably the zillionth time.

Buddy the Elf; what's your favorite cheesy Christmas movie?

4. Fiercely contested neighborhood holiday light display battles.

The winners live in the house you can see from outer space, rivaling the brightness of the sun.

5. Snowmen. Snowmen everywhere.

Bonus points if yours still looks as jolly as Frosty even after it starts to melt away.

6. Breaking out the marshmallow jackets.

Nothing says "it's the most wonderful time of the year" like countless Michelin-Man-wannabes wandering the streets!

7. Pine needles in places you didn't even know pine needles could be.

Chalk up another victory for the Charlie Brown tree (aka Christmas goals.)

8. Holiday-themed & flavored drinks.

FYI: If your beverage of choice comes from Starbucks, I'll be over here silently judging you and your treasonous decision from behind my festive Dunks cup.

9. Poinsettias.

No, this isn't the name of the newest addition to Santa's reindeer gang.

10. Gingerbread cookies.

NOT THE GUMDROP BUTTONS! Unless, of course, they're adorning every single square millimeter of your less-than-structurally-sound but more-than-delicious-enough-to-compensate gingerbread house.

11. UGLY SWEATERS.

We're talkin' wicked, WICKED ugly.

12. Especially if your ugly sweater is a Pats-themed one.

But really, how can a team captained by the GOAT ever be anything less than the most beautiful thing you've ever seen?

13. Cars all over the state will suddenly be decked like metal reindeer impostors.

Rudolph the... Red Nosed Honda Odyssey?

14. Nutcracker @ the Boston Opera House.

There's nothing more incredible than the gift of getting to see this gorgeous & magical creation, especially when performed in a building just as gorgeous and magical.

15. There's one thing that none of us will ever have on our Christmas list...

And that's for Massachusetts to be any better because there's no beating the best state around, especially when it's filled with Christmas cheer, happiness, and love.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
