We are all greatly impacted and shaped by our hometowns, especially when we spend a large portion of our lives in them. I spent a large majority of my years growing up in a small town. I have since traded this for the city life, but there are some undeniable signs you grew up in Lititz, Pennsylvania.

1. You know Wilbur Chocolate is always the clear winner in the Hershey's vs Wilbur debate

2. And when the old Wilbur building closed, you felt like a part of your heart had been ripped out

3. It was actually a two for one deal of heartbreak because it also meant Freeze and Frizz closed its Lititz location because Wilbur moved into its old location

4. Auntie Anne's has nothing on Sturgis

5. When Target was built it was basically like Christmas

6. It was also like Christmas when we got our own movie theater

7. Lititz Springs Park is the best in the county

8. You know that our 4th of July celebration is by far superior to all of the others

9. Second Friday in Lititz is better than First Friday in Lancaster

10. The General Sutter is not only historic but a great place for outside dining

11. Local author nights at Aaron's books are just as exciting as if it was J.K. Rowling

12. New York Pizza has nothing on Roma

13. Joboy's is the best for any and all meat

14. Candyology is the must-stop shop for all of your old school favorites

15. The Tomato Pie Cafe is a go-to for any meal

While there are more fabulous shops and things about Lititz that make it unique, one thing is for sure: every shop and every little, unique thing about this town is what makes it so perfect to grow up in!

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
