My mom’s side of the family is made up of mostly women. I have five aunts and all of my cousins are women except for two. Needless to say, estrogen is overflowing at every family gathering and honestly it’s great. Here is what it's really like growing up in a family of mostly women.
1. Playing Sports as a family isn’t really a thing.
2. Neither is watching sports as a family.
3. Video games aren’t a thing in your family either.
4. But you do always have someone to talk about makeup with.
5. Conversations can quickly go from talking about makeup to giving an in depth play by play of childbirth.
6. Things can also get very emotional very fast.
7. Either way there is always something to talk about.
8. And the talking gets loud.
9. Hair. There's so much of it. I mean, a lot.
10. Bobby pins and hair ties are always randomly scattered around the house after family gatherings.
11. Polishing your nails at family gatherings is totally normal behavior.
12. When you call out for your mom at least three people that aren't your mom answer.
13. You know what a strong, independent woman looks like because you've been surrounded by them your whole life.
14. In turn, you have been shaped into the person you are because of all the women in your family.
15. And you wouldn't have it any other way.
