I have been obsessed with musicals since before I could remember. I have always loved the theatre and the beauty of the stage can bring. I have seen some amazing shows online, on the stage, and have recreated a few of my own when I was in high school--something that I miss dearly. And I will continue to love the stage and the wonder that it has brought me and countless others with it is musicals and plays over the years. So here are some musicals that you have to see--if you have not seen them already.

1. "Hamilton"

Of course, this musical made its way to the top of this list. It is a wonderful piece of art, with amazing music, and lets people know that people of color are here and they can do jobs just as well as their white counterparts and even better.

2. "Grease"

This one is just iconic, I mean really?

3. "Aladdin"

I love the Disney movie and the story but I fell even more in love with it after hearing the music for the musical. It's just amazing.

4. "The Lion King"

ICONIC, AM I RIGHT!? A true work of art.

5. "The Addams Family"

6. "Chicago"

7. "Dream Girls"

8. "Bring It On: The Musical"

9. "Wicked"

I know this one is overrated to many but the music is classic and the story is amazing so I always add it to the list of my favorites all the time.

10. "Hairspray"

11. "Avenue Q"

If you haven't seen this musical, you need to. Like ASAP. It's amazing! It's kind of like a raunchy sesame street, honestly.

12. "Catch Me If You Can"

13. "Kinky Boots"

Everybody say yeaaaaaaaah!

14. "Rocky Horror Show"

Just amazing!!

15. "The Book Of Mormon"

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
