It is fall, which means midterms, schoolwork and the occasional pre-final Q-drop.
However, fall also means that all of us students are distracting ourselves with either A) Scary Movies or B) Cozy, nostalgic classics like Gilmore Girls. Whether you are thriving this fall, or feel a little stretched thin, Rory and Lorelai have a witty quote to describe your 2020 academic experience!
1. The early bird
Student pro-tip: find your local early bird. They have their life together and will help you get your life together too.
2. The one who just got a bad grade
Three words: Don't. Give. Up.
Three more words: In Omnia Paratus!
3. The one who grew up in the college town
Local students make the best friends. This student always knows where the cool, small-town gems are and, if you're lucky, will have you over for dinner with their parents.
4. The one applying to jobs that require experience
The mysterious question of the post-grad job market: how does one get experience if all jobs want experience?
5. The homesick freshman (or any year, honestly).
Admit it. Some of you guys went home during the COVID lockdown and now you...kind of miss your parents. No? Just me. K, cool.
7. The one who has a lot on their plate
I understand: you can't take a break right now. But you need to.
8. The English major
It's me. I'm the English major. Let's hear it for all the college-student bookworms who still attempt to read recreationally.
9. The one who always has a story to tell
Maybe this student is you. If so, thank you for keeping us all entertained.
10. The fresh-out-of-dorm-life one
The college student food evolution: complaining about on-campus dining to complaining about having to cook your own meals.
11. The one who just pulled an all-nighter
Maybe you were studying for a test. Or maybe you were just hanging out with friends. Either way, we've all been there a time or two...or three.
12. The one who never thinks that they are going to be late to class, but always is.
And they drag you down with them. Every. Single. Time.
13. The one who needs your help
Zoom class= more zoning out.
Zoom class also = not getting to whisper to your peer to ask if they are lost too.
14. The risk-taker
"Adventure may hurt you but monotony will kill you" or something. Hey risk taker: you do you. Just stay safe and all.
15. To all students
I understand that you can't take a break right now. But you need to.
No matter which gif you relate to the most right now, remember to not be too hard on yourself! School is awesome, but life is more than class. Take a deep breath, take a break, and remember to stop and smell the roses! College (or high school) isn't forever. Make the most of it!
