1. You're Character Knowledge

You know pretty much all the new characters in the movies before they come into play. When someone says "Who is that?" when talking about a new film or tv show, you're able to explain to them happily.

2. Halloween Costumes

For Halloween as a kid, you knew exactly who you were going to be. Spider-Man, Wonder Woman, Batman, etc. Every year your list of costume choices grew along with all the new characters, and you could pick for the years to come. You may have even wore your costume every day for a week after Halloween.

3. You Own Tons of Superhero Gear

Guaranteed you had/have a favorite, and guaranteed you own a bunch of trinkets, t-shirts, or any other cool accessories from back in the day when you were a kid, or even new purchases from now.

4. You Own Tons of Old Comic Books

Reading the comics gives you that cool vintage feel, and gives you all the inside information of what is supposed to happen in the movies or tv shows. Now that they are collector's items its even cooler to own the old-school ones. They are now even more valuable-- monetarily and memory wise.

5. Someone Got You Started on Comics

For me it was my dad, for others it may be an older sibling, or other extended family or friends. For them, those comics may have been brand new at the time and made up their entire childhood.

6. You Have Memories of Taking Special Trips to the Comic Book Store

Once in a while, as kids the Comic Book Store was just about equal to any Toy Store. You were able to get a cool action figure or any other kind of cool superhero gear, or maybe even a t-shirt. If you were really lucky you may even walk away with a new comic book as well.

7. Birthday Gifts

Birthday gifts concluded of rare, expensive, or special books.

8. You Still Have a Collection of Superhero themed items

From a mini comic book collection, to t-shirts, magnets, and piggy banks. Even now you buy more "practical" adult superhero things like comic themed mugs, etc.

9. You NEED to See all the New Movies as Soon as They Come Out

You love looking up all the movies planned for the future and obsess over the anticipation for the brand new movies to come out.

10. You Watch Plenty of Super Themed TV Shows

Gotham, Flash, Agents of Shield, the list goes on.

11. You Have an Equal Love for Both Sides

Both Marvel & DC are loved by you equally... even if you secretly favor one over the other.

12. You Adore Stan Lee

You love Stan Lee and all his amazing creativity, the best part of all the Marvel movies is waiting to see where he will pop up. You may have even watched his TV show.

13. The Amazing Actors

In all the movies, the perfect cast is always in place. These actors are now known forever for their roles as these influential characters.

14. You are Often in Awe of Their Amazing Moves

Enough Said.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
