After 5 days of literally not seeing the sun, you can imagine my body rejecting the sun this morning as I walked up to the stadium to get my football ticket. I had cabin fever for a good 13 hours while the power was out. Here are some thoughts all of us had during Hurricane Irma's lovely stay in Gainesville.

1. How many Netflix shows can I finish before the power goes out?

I think I binge watched five different shows until I got sick of watching television.

2. How many PopTarts can I eat for breakfast without feeling sick?

When the power was out, all we could eat for breakfast was PopTarts.

3. Is this milk still drinkable?

We stared at the fridge for a while trying to figure out what we needed to throw out. Only a few Publixes were open yesterday for some food.

4. I guess I'll be eating cold pasta for lunch since there's no power.

When there's no electricity, that means no microwave. Even though we had pre-made food, that didn't mean we could heat it up.

5. Should I throw a hurricane party or hide in my closet when the eye wall comes through Gainesville?

Hurricane parties are awesome but is this really going to be a Cat 5?

6. Is anything in this town delivering right now?

We were starving on Monday but nothing had power.

7. What food is open now I'm starving?

Like above thought, nothing was open except for Domino's and KFC on Archer Road.

8. I can't believe the power is still out.

After 13 hours, it is safe to say we had a serious case of cabin fever.

9. When will the gym be open again?

After 5 days, I am in desperate need of the gym.

10. How haven't I met any of those GPD cops all over my FaceBook feed?

I think it's safe to say GPD is officially internet famous and I have been asked 589430439 times if I have met any of the officers.

11. Is this Hurricane seriously going to be a Category 4?

Besides watching Anderson Cooper report on the hurricane for 48 hours (does the man ever sleep?), our other source of entertainment was figuring out where Irma was off to next.

12. Can classes get cancelled for one more day?

As much as I need something to do besides sit in my apartment, I also love our mini fall break.

13. Do you think they'll move my exams?

Although they moved our classes, will they move our exam dates?

14. Ok seriously when is the hurricane going to be over?

I've been prepped since Tuesday and half my hurricane snacks were gone by Sunday. When is Irma coming again?

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
