Jumping into the deep-end of European travel can seem daunting, but we're in this together.

If you're in a similar position as me, you're leaving to go abroad now. You have a mix of nervous and excited emotions popping up, and there's a bit of stuff you have to get done. You don't have a lot of money to your name, but you're gonna have the best abroad experience EVER.

1. I'm gonna be soooo poor

Like really poor when I come back. I don't think I have a lot of money in my bank account right now, so we should see how a semester of travel and food adds up. The budget I gave myself for a full year is now going to be condensed into four months. If anyone needs a babysitter in the winter, please keep me in mind.

2. I need more clothes!

Even though I don't, I think I do. Europeans are so cool! So edgy! How do I look like them? Buy more black, probably.

3. The moneys

You gotta tell your bank where you'll be so they don't think a random northern European stole your card info. PS - I really look forward to paying all of those transaction fees :)

4. Drinking age

See #1: I'm gonna be sooooo poor. Like, really.

5. I'm gonna be soooo cultured

When I come back I see myself saying "Well we did this in Copenhagen" or "This isn't how the French drink..." I apologize in advance, friends.

6. Packing

I'm gonna have to live out of one bag for how long? It's how much to check a second bag? It's time to get creative with this wardrobe.

7. European romance??

8. How does one grocery shop?

I can't stick to a shopping list in America. How the heck am I supposed to stick to one when I can't even read the labels and foreign currency feels like Monopoly money?

9. Missing family

I am preemptively missing my dogs already. I keep taking pictures for when I miss them. And I'm going to be in complete different time zones than my entire family? What?

10. School?!

So, I won't be traveling for four months straight? I have classes? And homework? Looking at my schedule makes me feel like that 8:30 class on Fridays was a big mistake for travel and other things.

11. Missing friends

I look forward to seeing those Snapchats of all of my friends hanging out! Oh wait, I'll be tearing up. It's fine. I'm fine. You're fine. We're all fine.

12. Missing ~srat~

Your big and little will have to go on fam dates without you... You'll miss fall philanthropy... And three functions...

13. Missing campus

So how do I add a picture of the Villanova church while I'm in Copenhagen? And how does one attend both Homecoming and Oktoberfest? Asking for a friend.

14. Adulting

I don't know how to do this in America, so it should be fun to do it in Europe where they are even more sophisticated. Time to fool the world into thinking I am self-sufficient.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
